    How to Book

    All appointments must be booked through my [Acuity scheduling page]. I do not accept bookings via DM or text. For Bridal or Commercial/Editorial inquiries, please submit a detailed request via email to begin a tailored consultation.

    Deposit & Payment

    A non-refundable deposit is required at the time of booking. This secures your spot and allows me to prepare intentionally for your appointment. The remaining balance is due on the day of service.

    Accepted Payment Methods:

    Cash, Apple Pay, Square Invoice, and secure online card payment.

    Same-Day Appointments

    Available Thursday through Sunday only, same-day bookings must be made by 9:00 AM and include a $50 rush fee. Due to the preparation and flexibility required, same-day appointments are limited and confirmed at the artist’s discretion.

    Rescheduling Policy

    Each appointment may be rescheduled once with at least 24 hours’ notice. Reschedules made under 24 hours—or repeated reschedules—will result in a forfeited deposit and require a new booking.

    Booking Timeline Recommendations

    To maintain the quality of your experience, I recommend:

    • Private Client Services: 3–7 days in advance

    • Bridal & Commercial/Editorial Services: 4–6 weeks in advance

  • As a mobile artist, I bring the studio experience to you—efficiently, professionally, and on your terms. To keep your experience seamless, please review the travel policies below.

    Service Area

    Jay Mumu Beauty is based in Grand Prairie, TX and proudly serves clients across Texas. Local travel and extended bookings are available with the following terms:

    Travel Fee Breakdown

    Travel is calculated based on distance from Grand Prairie, TX:

    • 0–10 miles: Complimentary

    • 11–30 miles: $25

    • 31–50 miles: $50

    • Over 50 miles: Custom quote required

    All mileage is calculated using the shortest route via Google Maps.

    Extended Travel (50+ miles)

    For appointments requiring travel outside the DFW area, a minimum booking value of $300 applies. In cases of early call times or long-distance requests, overnight lodging accommodations may be required and must be provided or reimbursed.

    On-Site Setup Requirements

    To maintain a clean, focused environment, the following setup is required at all appointments:

    • Table or counter space

    • Access to an electrical outlet

    • A clean, smoke-free, climate-controlled room

    • No pets or additional guests near the makeup area

    Location Changes

    If your appointment location changes, you must notify me at least 24 hours in advance. The new location must be within 10 miles of the original address. Location changes beyond 10 miles may result in additional travel fees or cancellation, depending on availability.

    Additional Faces On-Site

    If another person wants makeup during your appointment, I’ll only accommodate it if I have time in my schedule. The rate is $125 per additional face, and payment must be made in full before service begins. If timing or setup does not allow, the service will be declined to protect the quality and integrity of the original appointment.

  • To respect both your time and mine, a clear cancellation and rescheduling policy is in place to ensure all appointments remain timely, professional, and fair.

    Private Client Appointments

    Appointments may be rescheduled once with at least 24 hours’ notice. If rescheduled within that window, the deposit will be honored. If you cancel entirely or reschedule again, the deposit is forfeited and a new one is required to book.

    No-Call, No-Shows

    Clients who miss their appointment without any communication will be blocked from future bookings—no exceptions. My time is reserved exclusively for you, and that standard is non-negotiable.

    If I Need to Cancel

    In the rare event that I must cancel due to an emergency or illness, you will receive a full deposit refund or the option to reschedule at a discounted rate. I prioritize transparency and professionalism in every situation.

    Bridal & Commercial Appointments

    These bookings require a 50% non-refundable deposit. Due to the extended prep, planning, and blocked time, these deposits are not transferable to other dates or services. Cancellations made within 7 days of the event may result in full service payment depending on the terms of the agreement.

    Client Emergencies or Exceptions

    While policies are firm to ensure consistency, I understand that life happens. In rare cases, one-time exceptions may be made at my discretion for returning clients or legitimate emergencies.

  • How far in advance can I book?

    Private client appointments may be booked 30–45 days in advance. Bridal and commercial/editorial bookings require at least 4 weeks’ notice. I do not accept bookings more than 45 days out to keep availability focused and intentional.

    Do you offer same-day appointments?

    Yes, on a limited basis. Same-day appointments are available Thursday through Sunday and must be booked by 9:00 AM. A $50 rush fee applies.

    How do I confirm my appointment?

    Your appointment is confirmed once the required deposit is paid through my Acuity booking site. You will receive a confirmation email with all the details. Be sure to check your spam or junk folder if it doesn’t appear in your inbox.

    Service Expectations

    What should I do to prepare for my appointment?

    Please arrive with clean, makeup-free skin. Avoid using thick moisturizers or facial oils prior to the appointment. Have your brows groomed if needed, and make sure the environment is clean, well-lit, and distraction-free. You’re welcome to bring inspiration photos if you have a specific look in mind.

    Can I request a specific look or bring inspiration photos?

    Absolutely. My goal is to bring your vision to life while making sure it suits your features, occasion, and the aesthetic we’ve discussed.

    Do you accept group bookings or multiple faces?

    No. I do not offer group bookings at this time. All appointments are one-on-one to ensure a focused, high-quality experience for each client.

    What products do you use in your kit?

    I work with a curated range of professional-grade products including Danessa Myricks, NARS, Charlotte Tilbury, Juvia’s Place, and more—chosen for their performance, pigment, and skin compatibility.

    Can I bring my own lashes or foundation?

    I work primarily with my pro kit for consistency and quality. However, you may bring your own lashes with prior notice. Client-provided products are accepted on a case-by-case basis and must be approved before the appointment.

    On-Site Appointments & Travel

    What do I need to have ready when you arrive?

    Please provide a clean, well-lit space with table or counter space, an accessible outlet, and a climate-controlled room. Pets and additional guests should be kept at a distance to maintain focus and hygiene.

    Do you charge a travel fee?

    Yes. The first 10 miles from Grand Prairie, TX are complimentary. A travel fee applies based on distance. For bookings outside of the DFW area, a minimum service rate and/or overnight accommodations may be required.

    Do you offer touch-up kits?

    Yes. Soft glam and bridal clients receive a complimentary touch-up kit which includes blotting sheets, a touch-up sponge, and a sample of the lip product used during the session.

    Do you stay for touch-ups or look changes after the appointment?

    Touch-ups or look changes must be booked in advance and are billed separately. If you need me to stay for extended time on-site, please inquire during the booking process.

  • Hygiene & Skin Conditions

    Health and hygiene are non-negotiable. If you are experiencing a contagious skin condition (including but not limited to cold sores, pink eye, open wounds, or visible rashes), please reschedule your appointment. I reserve the right to decline service upon arrival if a condition is present and has not been disclosed in advance.

    All tools, brushes, and products are sanitized before and after every client. A clean, safe environment is part of the Jay Mumu Beauty standard.

    Photography & Media Policy

    To showcase the artistry behind your look, I may capture brief photos or videos before, during, or after your appointment. These visuals may be used on my website, portfolio, or social media channels to represent my work.

    If you prefer not to be photographed or featured, please notify me at the beginning of your appointment. Your privacy and comfort are always respected.
